Stylising Trees
In this Drawing for Animation class, we were instructed to go outside and draw at least one tree from life. Naturally, I chose the biggest and most complicated tree out there, which probably wasn't wise since we only had about half an hour to draw it.
I soon found myself creating techniques to draw the branches faster, as well as the leaves, which I eventually did more stylised due to the fact that there were so many of them.
We then returned and were made to use the drawing we had done from life to create a stylised version of the tree.
Mine ended up really being quite similar to my original drawing (just without the leaves; they were a pain in the ass). The techniques I created to make the branches however did come in useful here, as I was able to make up the shapes whilst still making it look like a tree.
