Keyframes, Lipsync, Reaction, and Timing Charts

For my 2D animation class this term, I had to create a scenario with my partner where two characters interact, with one saying something, and the other reacting. We then had to keyframe and stage the scene individually, and create time charts so that when it comes to next week, when we swap animations, we as each others assistants would be able to fill in the inbetweens.

In our animation, myself and my partner decided to use the phrase 'hey sexy'. In my animation, I got the speaking character to act suave and cool, while the other would react nervously and shocked. For the design I went with a small dinosaur for the suave one, and a big T-Rex for the nervous one, as I felt it would contrast in an amusing way with their personalities.

I was pretty happy with how I keyframed it, and after a conversation with my tutor, it turns out I needed way more breakdowns to help my assistant with how the movement would work. I also found out how to properly write timing charts;
First attempt at timing charts(who knows what I was trying to do)
Second attempt after being properly explained(much cleaner, actually makes some sort of sense now)

In conclusion, I really learned a lot from this project, and I'm only halfway through! Let's see how inbetweening gets me!
