Knight Rider Storyboard
Brief: Create an animatic and storyboard for a given script.
This project was a big challenge, expecially since I accidentally misjudged the amount of time I had to do it. I'm also not very used to drawing cars, so I had to do a lot of practice sketches before starting on the storyboard.
I first designed the main characters, basing them on the actual actors of Knight Rider so I didn't have to make something up from scratch. I based Karl Tarantula on John Cena since he wasn't an existing character.
The landscapes were also very difficult as I'm not used to drawing those either, especially canyon/deserts, which is what was required in the script. This definitely shone light on what I have to work on drawing-wise.
Feedback-wise, I was told to work on my drawing, which I definitely agree on. Had I given myself more time to work on it, I would have sketched out the scenes first, then lined and shaded them to create better drawings and depth, as I drew straight onto the panels for this piece.
