Life Drawing 7
In this life drawing session we again focused on accuracy, but at a much larger scale than the previous sessions, to really work on capturing detail. (We also had a life model! Hurrah!)
We began with two 15 minute drawings to warm up. These I found were very difficult to get accurate in such a short time, but looking back on them now I quite like them. I still have to watch for the balance of the body through. It's better in the second life drawing, but the first one is leaning a bit too much to the left.
For the next drawing we did two 20 minute drawings, one of the top half of the body, the other of the bottom half, so we had more time to get the drawings as accurately as possible. They weren't supposed to line up, but the proportions aren't too bad together. This was much harder than the smaller drawings as every line was under more scrutiny, being bigger on the page.
This drawing was supposed to be a full body drawing like the previous one, but my life drawing tutor reccomended that I work on this top half for the full 40 minutes to work on the accuracy, as I have more trouble with the top half of the body than the bottom half(although I still do have problems with proportions concerning the entire body, this was more centred on detail of specific parts).
